Dear benefactors!
On behalf of the student and pedagogical teams of the “Sokal Junior Academy of Sciences for Student Youth named after Ihor Bogachevskyi” I express my sincere gratitude for material support of the gifted youth, which is the future of our Ukraine.
Sokal Junior Academy of Sciences for Student Youth named after Ihor Bogachevskyi (hereinafter – JAS) was founded in 2004. This is an institution of non-school education of research and experimental direction.
Every year 300 – 350 students from many schools of the Sokal territorial community study here. Children of different social groups, different levels of training, different social status study at the JAS for free.
We have the following sections: Ukrainian, Ukrainian literature, history, Law, Historical Regional Studies, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Ecology, Economics, Geography, English, Polish, Bases of Research Work. Also students develop subjects on Folklore, Art Studies, Pedagogics, Sociology, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Journalism and others.
The staff of the Junior Academy of Sciences is 12-15 experienced teachers of the higher category and with the “Teacher – Methodist” and “Senior Teacher” titles. They love children, have experience in working with gifted pupils, reveal their scientific and creative abilities, help to achieve success. The Sokal JAS cooperates with higher education institutions in Lviv.
The pedagogical team prepared 7 presidential scholarships, hundreds of winners and prize-winners of international, All-Ukrainian, regional, district competitions and tournaments. The participants of the JAS annually take part in the “Ukraine with eyes of the Young” International Scientific and practical Conference, “Crystal” competition, “Ecoview”, “Ecological security of the native land: Problems and ways of their solution in the context of sustainable development”, “Energy and environment”, “100 years of the Ukrainian Revolution”, “Famous names of Ukraine”, “Spring breeze” regional competitions etc.
JAS also holds the “My pedigree” regional contest, a scientific and practical conference dedicated to the memory of I.G. Kaspruk. The “Opening of the treasure of the historical and cultural heritage of the native land” International project was successfully implemented.
Since the 2013-2014 academic year we have been cooperating with “The future of Ukraine. Sokal” Charitable Foundation. Since then, every year, students who have achieved the highest results, receive a reward for their work.
As the students themselves note, this gives them an understanding that they are the best, because they have successfully worked and they are the future of Ukraine.
The award is a motivation for young scientists. We maintain ties with them even after the end of study, and we see how successful these children become in life. They themselves follow a good example of charity and also help those who need it (the sick ones, armed forces, elderly people, low-income and large families, migrants, animals, etc.).
All our students who received a cash reward for their effective work from the charitable fund “The future of Ukraine. Sokal”, are grateful to the benefactors from abroad, who support gifted Ukrainian schoolchildren.
According to the results of the 2021-2022 academic year, the 29 most successful students of the Sokal Junior Academy of Sciences were awarded for their work.
With respect and on behalf of the teacher’s staff,
Headmaster Svitlana Musiy
